The Jeep was born more than 60 years ago during World War II, when the US military realized a small, fast vehicle was needed for delivering messages to the front lines and shuttling small groups of soldiers over rough terrain.
After significantly contributing to the nations survival in World War II, the Jeep rolled off the battlefield and onto the highways and backroads of America. With its do-anything nature, the Jeep evolved into a great little recreational vehicle. Throughout the years - and many different parent companies - the Jeep expanded into a full line of vehicles, including several main players in the current boom of sport utility vehicles.
