Wait until you see the end result of this Jeep.
This Jeep came into OK last year for a Black Diamond suspension,NV4500 trans,Dana 44 front end and ARB Airlockers with 456 gears front and rear. This year we are going to strip it to the frame and put on a new tub, fenders, windshield frame, with a lot of other little detail items.
Beadlock steel wheels with Warn, heavy duty hub conversion for CJ axle. A good upgrade for the weak stock CJ hub.
Heres a good shot of the front Dana 44 front diff and the Black Diamond suspension kit.
The body of this Jeep looks good from far away, but up close it shows alot of cancer.
Underneath the shiny paint it was dotted with patches of rust.
Warn Black Diamond XCL coil conversion suspension system. Warn has since discontinued their Black Diamond suspension line, but the products are now once again available through Woods Ready Distributing.
The CJ-7 is equipped with a Warn XD9000i Electric Winch, and a Tomken, “pre-runner style” winch mounting plate.
The body is off and waiting for us to start swapping parts to the new body.
The new tub and fenders are being fitted to the frame. After we fit it we’ll remove everything and send the fenders and tub out to get Line-Xed on the under side.
This is the tub installed on the frame over the drivetrain during the test-fitment.
Flowmaster exhaust exits high on the driver side of the gas tank. The upper arms of the coil suspension mount to the center of a truss that spans the rear axle.
The front arms split, and mount at high and low positions on the front axle.
Towering coils and coil-over shocks, support the weight of the 350 V-8, and maximize articulation on the trail.
Pictured NV4500 transmission and Dana 300 transfer case, on the top side without the body installed.
Towers included with the Black Diamond XCL suspension kit get attached to the frame to house the coil-over shocks.
The CJ-7 has Dana 44 front and rear equipped with ARB Air Lockers.
CV-Style rear driveshaft allows for steeper driveline angles, and helps reduce vibrations.
Original frame was in pretty good shape. We stripped it down, and repainted it.
