You might already be familiar with our Project Rubokon, whether you’ve seen it at our shop or on the trail. Now you can follow the build-up in detail as we document any modifications we make to the Jeep in our Project Rubokon section. Here we will share our experience with the vehicle, good or bad, and we will also provide high resolution images of any changes or items of interest. With each submission we will make a list of all products installed and provide a link to that product in our online catalog, so you know exactly what to get for your own JK Unlimited! New modifications will be made often, so keep checking back.

One thing you’ll notice about the new Jeep JK is that the muffler is now where the gas tank used to be on previous Wranglers. The good thing is, you don’t have to worry about your gas tank (as much) when dropping off ledges. The bad thing is, now you have to worry about trashing your muffler instead. One could either dent it (which may or may not be a big deal depending on how you roll), rip it off completely, or smash it shut. Kilby Enterprises has the solution in the form of their Trail Boss Muffler Skid Plate - a sturdy, bolt on plate made of 3/16 steel. This baby will help ensure that your muffler keeps its shape on the rocks. $249.95

We have recently received our ARB container from Australia, so we now have many ARB Bumpers, Rockers, Recovery Equipment, Air Lockers and Old Man Emu Suspensions in stock. ARB has some of the nicest exterior accessories in the industry and Old Man Emu is one of the only completely engineered suspension systems. Our Grand Re-Opening on May 5th was a great success thanks to everyone who had participated! Without you, the phenomenal growth and expansion of OK Auto, 4wd & Tire would not have been possible. We would also also like to thank our sponsors who attended the event and supported us during this transition - Skyjacker, BDS, Cage, ARB, Eibach, Hella, Volant, Bestop, Westin, AEV, and Solid. Our newly renovated store was full of people at all times, and many others were milling around looking at the vehicles and checking out what our vendors had to offer. The new and improved Rock Pile was the biggest hit as one vehicle after another clawed its way over the top - everything from a near-stock Jeep to a GMC panel van! Our photo album is now online. Thanks again for being part of our history, and we hope to see everyone again soon!

As you may know, our building is currently undergoing extensive renovations, starting a new chapter in the history of OK Auto, 4wd & Tire. To celebrate this new beginning, we will be hosting a Grand Reopening at our facility on Saturday, May 5th, 2007, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. At the event, there will be food, refreshments, product displays, manufacturer reps, and special deals. We will also be distributing free passes to one of the following locations: Rausch Creek Off-Road Park (valid 5/6/07), Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays (valid 5/6-13/07), or Island Dragway. To qualify for a free pass, all you have to do is attend our Grand Reopening - no purchase necessary!
